Katja Ruge - BFF Professional. freelance photographer: portraiture, music, lifestyle and photo essay.
First of all, I love photography and music. After my studies in graphic design and my apprenticeship as a photo lab-assistant, I worked as a lab-assistant, a photo-assistant in Manchester/U.K. and later as an art director in Duesseldorf. Freelance photography since 2000.
Magazines, Companies, Artists, Books, Art. Themed exhibitions of my works in Gronau, Berlin, Dessau and Hamburg. Exhibitions in galleries in Brussels/Belgium, Graz/Austria and Tarifa/Spain. Published a book called "Fotoreportage23-In search of Ian Curtis". My latest themed exhibition "Can Love be Synth?" about Classic Analog Synthesizer was held in Berlin, SXSW Festival Austin /Texas, Reeperbahnfestival Hamburg, A Synth Fest St.Gallen and Fantastic Gondolas In Lech am Arlberg. The "Warp 25 - a Musiclabel in Pictures" exhibition went Golden Pudel Club Hamburg, Baustelle Kalk in Cologne and was voted online by Monopol Magazine Germany as one of the best exhibitions in 2014 .2016/17 photoexhibotion "Ladyflash" at kulturreich gallery Hamburg with the support from the Reeperbahn Festival. Together with Andrew Prinz I work on the book "Shoegaze: From Dreampop to Space Rock - and Beyond"
